What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.
RSS is a way of receiving information, such as blog posts, on your desktop as ‘feeds’, without having to visit the website. There are different ways of using RSS:
- Modern browsers, such as Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2, allow you to subscribe to an ‘RSS feed’.
- Some email programs (such as Mozilla Thunderbird) allow you to receive RSS Feeds as email.
- Finally, there are online RSS News Readers (such as Bloglines) which allow you to read all your feeds in one place.
