Vessels fit for purpose.
Who decides what the container is for or its value?
Kintsugi- a relevant example of what God can do for us?
Often in life we wonder what we can do for God? Sometimes he is more interested in what he can make of us.
The girl in the picture by Denise Chong
Kim Phuc
But it was as a second year medical student in Saigon that she discovered a New Testament in the university library, committed her life to following Jesus Christ, and realised that God had a plan for her life.
Forgiveness made me free from hatred. I still have many scars on my body and severe pain most days but my heart is cleansed. Napalm is very powerful, but faith, forgiveness, and love are much more powerful. We would not have war at all if everyone could learn how to live with true love, hope, and forgiveness. If that little girl in the picture can do it, ask yourself: Can you?’ (Kim Phuc, 2008)
I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;
I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me! (Job 19:25-27)
Who Created God??
Christians believe that in the beginning God Created “matter”. (See Genesis chapter 1)
Those who reject the notion of God believe that they were created by “matter” and sometimes throw this question at Christians – Who created God? (there is an assumption in that question)
An equally valid question along the same lines would therefore be -who created “matter”?
What value life?
Mo is six, an ambassador……She puts back far more into society than she takes from it, as she entertains, laughs, sings, dances, jokes, brings people together…She has made me a better person.
Her sister writes” Mo, I love you so much and you are the best sister in the world and so precious to me.
You are so important to me and if you weren’t in the world my life wouldn’t be the same and that would be terrible. I love you so very, very, much and you mean everything to me. Your sister.”
(Mo (name changed) has Down’s Syndrome)
